In this post we are going to go into what Semrush is and how bloggers use it for keyword research.

If you’ve spent any time looking into blogging or SEO/keyword research, you will have no doubt come across Semrush at some point.

It’s one of those tools that gets mentioned everywhere. In blog posts, YouTube videos, and by the people who seem to know exactly what they’re doing when it comes to growing traffic lol.

But if you’ve never used it yourself, it can feel a bit confusing like any new tool. As in, what does it actually do? And more importantly, how are bloggers actually using it when it comes to keyword research?

In this post, I’m going to break it down in a really simple way even if you’re a beginner, so you can understand what Semrush is, what it’s used for, and how it fits into blogging… without all the technical jargon.

Once you’ve chosen a keyword, you then build your content/post around it and naturally include related terms throughout your content.
