Not all PLR is created equal. Cheap bundles often look outdated or are sold thousands of times meaning it will take WORK to make them stand out. Potentially more work than just making your own from scratch.

The other downside to the mega bundles for a super cheap price is that they can be tricky to navigate and find what you want to use.

This is just added stress. Plus if you don’t end up using any of those templates as they were cheaply made or full of errors or too chaotic to work out, you will have lost the cost of that bundle. No matter how “cheap” it looks.

The best option is to get modern, clean, professional PLR with clear usage rights.

The earning potential for PLR products is huge. While selling PLR products isn’t a “get rich quick” scheme, it is seriously scalable.

This is because you pay the purchase price one time. You make your rebrand and all your edits, and you list it for sale.

Then you can list them anywhere you like!

You can sell them on Etsy, Shopify, via Stripe, or on your own website. Or do a mix which is my preferred way to market them!

If you sell just:

• 20 copies at $15 = $300
  
• 100 copies at $15 = $1,500
  
• Add in more products and it compounds really fast.
  

Once your PLR products are live, they can sell over and over again without you touching them. This is how people make money, even while asleep!

Common PLR Mistakes to Avoid

There are of course a few common mistakes people make.

The main ones to avoid are:

Using the product as-is without editing it.

Duplicate content doesn’t do well. It needs to look and feel like your own product. You are buying a done-for-you template. An example would be if you bought this planner, you would change the font, the colouring, the cover page and put your own name/branding on it.

Doesn’t need a mega overhaul, but it needs to look and feel like YOURS.

Buying from low-quality or unclear sources.

Making sure you have that PLR license is the most important thing. It needs to state it really clearly that the product you are looking for comes with PLR. 

The tricky thing with buying really cheap/low quality products is that you may find that the format isn’t quite right so you have to spend hours resetting little lines into place to make it look decent.

You may find there are missing numbers, wrong days on a calendar page (for example two Sundays but no Tuesday…) or it’s full of typos etc. 

High quality, with clear PLR is 100% the best option.

Ignoring your niche. 

Don’t grab something that looks cool but isn’t related to what your content is about. No matter how tempting! Always choose PLR that fits your audience.

Quick note, if you want to buy those cool products and have a completely separate Etsy or Shopify store that isn’t linked back to your content then absolutely do that! You will just need to promote/market it differently.

Forgetting to market your products once they’re done.

This is something we all do lol. You buy your high-quality PLR product bundle, spend time getting items rebranded and fitting to your own brand, you get them listed and live on your Shopify or Etsy store, and then you move onto the next…. People can’t buy products they don’t know are there lol.

Tell people about them. Market them however suits you and your content!
