I think you’re spot on! Getting a theme that is responsive, user friendly, customisable and aesthetic is important but you will only REALLY know what you want down the line as your blog grows and inevitabley changes over time. That’s why I personally would never recommend someone getting a super expensive or custom theme from day 1 unless they are experienced or established in their business/brand!

The one that felt like me. I never really found it, but thankfully just picked one and moved on. I see so many people comment on facebook groups and other platforms about getting caught up on the theme and it blocks them from just getting started!
Now that I’ve had my blog for some time, I’m starting to look around for another theme and now the scary parts occur where I may have to adjust all my images from landscape to portrait or change some of my favorite plugins, etc. It’s definitely good to think about all that before choosing one that just looks nice.

I was the same! When I was first looking to buy a theme years ago I had no clue what was good or what to look for – took me ages to research and find one I liked! A good theme makes blogging so much easier doesn’t it! 🙂
